More buyers ask AI assistants instead of searching. Once a month, AEOptimiz asks an AI assistant with web search turned on 20 questions that a buyer of what you sell might ask, and records two separate things about each answer:
- Named. Whether the answer mentions your site or brand.
- Cited. Whether your site was among the sources the search actually found.
They are different. An answer can name you from general knowledge without using your pages, and it can use your pages without naming you. Being cited is the one your content can change.
Ask in the chat, for example "how often do AI assistants cite us?". The first figures appear after the first monthly run.
The assistant can also search the web live while it answers, to show which sources an AI search uses for a question you were not cited for. Each message allows a few such searches.
