Publishing to WordPress

Connecting a WordPress site with an application password, and publishing drafts or live posts.

Connect

  1. In WordPress, go to Users, then Profile, then Application Passwords, and create one. Call it AEOptimiz so you can find it later.
  2. In AEOptimiz, open Settings, then Sites, then CMS. Enter your site's address, your WordPress username and the application password.

The password is checked before it is saved, stored encrypted, and used only when you publish. A site publishes to one CMS at a time.

Publish

Open the document and choose Publish:

  • Save as a draft sends it to WordPress as a draft, to finish there.
  • Publish live publishes it.

Publishing the same document again updates the same post. It never creates a second one.

Disconnect

Disconnecting deletes the stored application password. Revoke it in WordPress too, under Users, then Profile, then Application Passwords.
