A page that is out of date but already ranks can lose the searches it is found for when it is rewritten. A rework is built so that does not happen quietly.
Ask in the chat, for example "rework https://example.com/blog/guide without losing its rankings".
What it protects
AEOptimiz reads the last 90 days of Search Console data for the page and lists the searches it holds: every search that brought at least one click, and any with at least 30 impressions, up to 15 of them. The assistant tells you the list before it starts.
A page that holds none of these is not reworked. There is nothing to protect, and smaller on-page changes or a new article are the better choice.
How it is checked
- The rewrite has to keep covering every search on the list.
- Losing a search that brings clicks blocks the draft. It gets one more attempt with that as an instruction, and nothing is charged if it fails again.
- Losing a search that only brings impressions does not block it. It is listed under Checks in the document, so you decide before publishing.
- The page keeps its address, so publishing the rework does not move it.
Where the rework goes
- If the page was published from AEOptimiz, the rework becomes a new version of that document. Earlier versions stay in History.
- If someone edited that document while the rework was being written, their edits are kept. The rework is saved as a separate document, and its Checks say why.
- If AEOptimiz did not publish the page, it reads the page as it is live today, and the rework becomes a new document.
It costs 10 credits, charged only if the rework passes its checks.
