Setup has four steps. You can leave and come back: it picks up at the step you reached.
- Your site. Paste its address, or its Search Console property if you have it to hand.
- Search Console. Connect the property for that site. Access is read-only: AEOptimiz never changes anything in Search Console.
- Your profile. AEOptimiz reads your site and proposes what it sells, who for, which market, and how it writes. Correct anything that is wrong, because articles are written from it.
- Competitors. Confirm the sites you compete with in search. The suggestions are sites that rank for the same searches you do.
What happens after you connect
- AEOptimiz reads up to 16 months of history, which is as far back as Search Console keeps.
- The newest data is about 3 days old. Search Console reports late, so the most recent days are not available anywhere, in AEOptimiz or in Search Console itself.
- The data is refreshed every night. Once a week the read also splits clicks by search and page together, which questions such as "which searches bring this page its traffic" need.
